Software Quality Assurance Specialist

At the heart of our organization lies a commitment to delivering exceptional software solutions. We are seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team and help shape the future of our products.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing methodologies, be able to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • We are looking for someone with 3+ years of experience in manual testing (functional, non-functional, regression), who can design test cases and scripts under their own direction, map back to pre-determined criteria, record and report test outcomes.
  • Participation in requirement, design, and specification reviews, using this information to design test plans and conditions, will be highly valued.
  • The successful candidate will apply agreed standards to specify and perform manual and automated testing, analyze and report on test activities, results, issues, and risks.

A strong understanding of software development life cycles, software QA methodologies, tools, and processes is essential. Knowledge or experience working in web-based applications and familiarity with SQL Server 2019 would be beneficial.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, flexible, and able to adapt quickly to new situations.

Responsibilities

Our Software Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Designing, coding, verifying, testing, documenting, amending, and refactoring simple programs/scripts, applying agreed standards and tools to achieve a well-engineered result.
  • Replicating issues in QA environments based on reported issues in production/SIT.
  • Executing test cases based on detailed test steps in JIRA Xray.
  • Raising bugs with detailed information on the issue.

  • Have experience in leading a team or mentoring/coaching other testers (desired but not required).

  • Be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical resources.
  • Be able to work collaboratively in a small agile team.
