Product Development Technician

We are seeking an experienced Product Development Technician to join our team. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for supporting the development and characterization of new products.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electronics and laboratory procedures, with experience in assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic components and systems.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Technical Support:
    • Provide technical support to engineers during the development phase, including assistance with test setup, equipment operation, and data collection.
    • Assist in the design and development of new products, including prototype assembly and testing.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product launches.
  • Troubleshooting & Debugging:
    • Conduct thorough troubleshooting and debugging of test setups, hardware, and IC failures.
    • Identify and isolate issues related to product performance, test methodologies, or equipment malfunctions.
    • Collaborate with engineers to resolve technical challenges and improve test efficiency.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of test procedures, results, observations, and equipment calibration.
    • Assist in drafting and updating technical reports and engineering documentation.
    • Provide clear and concise verbal and written updates on project status and technical findings.
  • Technical Leadership & Mentorship:
    • Serve as a technical resource and mentor for junior technicians, providing guidance on test procedures, equipment operation, and troubleshooting techniques.
    • Assist in training new team members on standard operating procedures and best practices.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of lab processes, safety protocols, and equipment utilization.
  • Lab Management & Maintenance:
    • Ensure the proper functioning, calibration, and maintenance of lab equipment.
    • Manage inventory of components, tools, and supplies required for development activities.
    • Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work effectively within cross-functional teams, including Design, Test, Quality, and Manufacturing, to support product development milestones.
    • Communicate effectively with engineers to understand requirements and provide timely support.
