We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team in delivering high-quality front-end development solutions. This role focuses on working closely with the lead developer, implementing complex builds, and solving technical challenges as part of a collaborative team environment.

Job Description

As a senior front-end developer, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing custom front-end solutions using WordPress, Shopify, and React-based builds;
  • Implementing advanced site optimisation techniques to improve website performance and user experience;
  • Ensuring accessibility, responsive behaviour, and SEO best practices are consistently applied;
  • Working with Git using a branch/pull request/merge workflow;
  • Integrating and consuming third-party APIs;
  • Troubleshooting issues across front-end, WordPress, Shopify, React, and server environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Strong ability to hand-code solutions rather than rely heavily on plugins;
  • Advanced experience with custom WordPress theme development and Shopify builds;
  • Solid experience with React, including building projects in Gatsby or similar;
  • Deep understanding of ACF and WordPress customisation best practices;
  • Proficient with CSS pre-processors like SCSS and building maintainable design systems;
  • Familiarity with Git workflows in a collaborative team environment;
  • Proficiency in integrating APIs and handling asynchronous data.
