Accounting Support Role

This role is ideal for an organized and detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. As an accounting support specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, client correspondence, document management, and communication with regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage client records, maintain accurate financial data, and process invoices in Xero.
  • Support debt collection activities via email and follow up with clients as required.
  • Assist with distributing group communications and newsletters to clients.
Financial Administration:
  • Generate and process payments in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and update client details in XPM (WorkflowMax) and the Tax Agent Portal.
Compliance & Regulatory Support:
  • Prepare and send ASIC company review correspondence using NowInfinity (or similar software).
  • Respond to ATO phone calls, including arranging payment plans, submitting interest remission requests, and handling client-related inquiries.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an administrative role, preferably within accounting or professional services.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in at least one accounting software, ideally Xero and WorkflowMax/XPM.
  • Experience using NowInfinity, ActiveCampaign, and Adobe Sign (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Previous experience working within a remote or hybrid team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new systems, processes, and business terminology quickly.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
