Accounting Specialist Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical skills and the ability to work independently with a diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage financial accounts for companies and trusts;
- Prepare and maintain adequate working papers that support assumptions made and opinions given in accordance with firm procedures;
- Perform bank reconciliations and prepare income tax and GST reconciliations;
- Identify and attend to all related tax matters for clients, including but not limited to Division 7A, Fringe Benefits Tax, and CGT;
- Keep abreast of tax legislation changes;
- Support senior staff in delivering high-quality financial and tax solutions;
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Business or Commerce with an Accounting major;
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero and Xero Tax;
- Working knowledge of the Australian Taxation Act;
- Sound understanding of general accounting and management principles;
