Job Overview

The role of the International Business Development Manager is to execute end-to-end management of various business initiatives in key markets.

This position involves liaising with existing customers, sales deal management, planning and monitoring activities, and evaluating execution results.

  • Liaise with existing Customers (Local consolidator/Distributors) for Filipino Local Jewels in key diaspora markets.
  • Sales deal management and negotiation.
  • Planning, monitoring activities plans, evaluating execution results in key strategic markets.
  • Lead and execute all E2E Internal administrative UI processes including Marketing, SC, Operations and Finance.
Main Responsibilities

The incumbent will be responsible for:

Customer Management
  • Develop and implement optimal integrated promo plans and manage promo investments.
  • Work with customers to ensure cadence on order book adherent to order-lead times.
  • Conduct monthly operational meetings and business reviews with Top 5 key customers.
  • Manage customer promo investment ensuring all budgets are accrued, spent within budget and claimed in a timely manner.
  • Track, manage and evaluate key business metrics and KPIs across trade activities & service levels.
Internal Processes Management
  • Work closely with operating country to have early visibility on innovations and product launches/transitions.
  • Update and review forecasts monthly to ensure healthy service levels.
  • Work with other BDMs in destination markets to drive execution as per plan.
  • P&L management, which includes managing trade spends and quarterly price reviews.
  • Monitor implementation and adherence to UI Processes internally across functions and externally with distributors.
Business Development Projects Management
  • Lead the operationalization of agreed initiatives.
  • Ensure timely delivery as per project timeline.
  • Provide clear network update – on actual vs planned.
  • Lead coordination meetings of the Multi-Functional team for customer-specific projects.
  • Organize project meetings, prepare minutes and follow up actions. Escalate if critical milestones are likely to be missed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to manage multiple customers in different markets and develop remote management skills.
  • Ability to travel in the cluster up to 10% of the time.
  • Finance business partnering skills.
  • Highly agile, flexible and adaptable to changes when necessary.
  • Highly entrepreneurial in nature.
  • Team player who can manage cross-functional teams.
  • Self-confidence and integrity are a must.
  • 3+ years of business experience in customer management (not necessarily from Exports background).
  • Budgeting & Planning.
