About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to support our accounting operations.

In this remote role, you will be responsible for preparing financial reports, maintaining accurate general ledgers, managing daily accounting tasks, and assisting in month-end closings.

Our ideal candidate will have expertise in financial reporting, journal entries, reconciliations, and compliance with U.S. accounting standards (GAAP).

You will assist in preparing monthly financial statements, perform journal entries and reconciliations, process accounts payable and receivable transactions, generate accurate financial reports and analyses, and maintain up-to-date records.

You will also collaborate with Controllers on income/expense projections, complete reviews of your work, address client queries, and deliver timely updates as needed.

Additionally, you will track time accurately across multiple client accounts, participate in internal training and team meetings, and perform other business-related tasks assigned by management.

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:
    • Assist in preparing monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow)
    • Perform journal entries, reconciliations, and ensure accuracy in general ledger accounts
    • Process and review accounts payable and receivable transactions
    • Generate accurate financial reports and analyses for review by clients and senior staff
  • Client Support & Ad Hoc Projects:
    • Collaborate with Controllers on income/expense projections
    • Complete reviews of your work and support quality checks for team members
    • Address client queries and deliver timely updates as needed
  • Compliance & Documentation:
    • Support compliance with U.S. federal, state, and local accounting regulations
    • Help ensure that bookkeeping and tax-related documentation are audit-ready
  • Administrative & Internal Coordination:
    • Track time accurately across multiple client accounts
    • Participate in internal training and team meetings
    • Perform other business-related tasks as assigned by management
