Open Source Threat Intelligence Strategist

This role leads Canonical's threat intelligence strategy and execution, collaborating with internal stakeholders and the wider cybersecurity community to establish thought leadership in open source threat intelligence.
The ideal candidate will have a professional portfolio of OSINT-related scripts, tools, or frameworks, demonstrated involvement in the larger OSINT community, and relevant certifications or degrees.
Main Responsibilities- Own the development and implementation of Canonical's threat intelligence strategy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives and develop actionable insights.
- Lead intelligence gathering and development activities on threat actors targeting software supply chains.
- Analyze attack trends across the open source software landscape and provide expert recommendations for detection and mitigation.
- Proven experience in threat intelligence leadership or similar roles.
- Expertise in the current open source threat landscape and computer networking/infrastructure concepts.
- Highly proficient with OSINT tools such as Buscador, Maltego, and Shodan.
- Able to identify, organize, catalogue, and track adversary tradecraft trends.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate technical content to various audiences.
