About the Role:

The Utility Team Lead will oversee a team of engineers, ensuring high-quality inspections and data accuracy within the electric utility sector. Responsibilities include cataloging assets, identifying issues or hazards, and collaborating with utility companies to meet project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers for high-quality inspections and data accuracy.
  • Catalog utility assets and identify potential equipment issues or hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with project standards and quality control of work packages.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to junior engineers.
  • Collaborate with utility companies to meet project deliverables.
  • Work closely with internal teams for data alignment with industry standards.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices for operational effectiveness.
  • Participate in training programs for technical knowledge development.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in the electric utility field (preferred).
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills (must-have).
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities (must-have).
  • Proficient computer skills and good written/oral communication (must-have).
  • Working knowledge of NESC, national engineering standards, and best industry practices (nice-to-have).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work remotely and coordinate with distributed workforce.
  • Enthusiasm for learning new technologies in the utility sector.

Tools/Technical Environment:

  • GIS software for utility asset mapping and analysis.
  • Data management tools for cataloging and reporting.
  • Communication platforms for collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders.
