Job Description

The Chief Information Officer will lead the digital transformation and drive technological innovation at a rural bank. This role oversees the bank's information technology strategy, infrastructure, and operations, ensuring seamless integration of technology across all business functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the bank's overall IT strategy, aligning it with the organisation's business objectives and goals
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust and scalable IT systems, infrastructure, and applications
  • Identify and evaluate new technologies, platforms, and solutions that can enhance the bank's operational efficiency, customer experience, and competitive advantage
  • Manage and optimise the IT budget, ensuring prudent allocation of resources and maximising return on investment
  • Lead a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and devise technology-driven solutions
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, security standards, and data privacy requirements
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior IT leadership role, preferably within the banking or financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of banking operations, regulatory requirements, and the role of technology in the financial sector
  • Proven track record in successfully leading large-scale IT transformation projects and driving organisational change
  • Excellent strategic thinking abilities, with the capacity to align technology solutions with the bank's overall business strategy
  • Proficiency in managing IT budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
