Job Title:

Problem Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Problem Management Specialist to lead root cause investigations and drive permanent solutions.

About the Role:

  • Conduct thorough root cause investigations for incidents affecting critical services
  • Apply advanced RCA techniques such as 5 Whys, Brainstorming, and Kepner-Tregoe to identify and resolve issues
  • Utilize technical expertise to support investigation efforts and ensure incident prevention
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate post-incident lessons learned and champion a proactive culture of incident prevention
  • Promote automation to reduce manual errors and optimize process efficiency
  • Ensure problem management activities meet established service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Guide investigations through the documented problem management process and facilitate effective communication among stakeholders
  • Foster strong relationships with business partners, vendors, and IT teams to drive issue resolution and continuous improvement
  • Develop and implement strategies to address recurring issues and improve overall service reliability

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in IT Problem Management or RCA facilitation and Incident Management
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in IT Operations/Support
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple investigations simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Experience working with vendors and holding them accountable
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills
  • Tenacity in driving investigations to resolution and delivering results
