Financial Operations Specialist

As a Financial Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day financial operations. This includes ensuring all corporate spend is properly categorized by account and department before month-end close, particularly through reconciliation of card transactions.

  • Reconcile card transactions and ensure accurate expense classification.
  • Follow up with internal teams to correct or complete financial coding and documentation.
  • Identify recurring issues in expense classification and propose solutions.

This role provides essential support for accurate financial reporting and ensures consistency during month-end closing and reporting cycles.

What You'll Do:

  1. Manage and reconcile corporate spend across various departments.
  2. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve financial coding and documentation discrepancies.
  3. Develop and implement procedures to improve expense classification accuracy.
  4. Support the preparation of financial reports and schedules.
  5. Assist with ad-hoc finance requests and projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or operations support roles.
  • High proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong Excel skills with working knowledge of formulas, pivot tables, and data cleanup techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
