Job Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Reviewer to join our team. As a Medical Reviewer, you will be responsible for preparing case files and Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) assigned in the client portal.

  • Review medical records and create a synopsis to answer medical opinion questions based on the veteran's medical history.
  • Remotely assist the medical provider during a scheduled appointment of a veteran by accessing, navigating, and preparing different apps in the medical provider's computer in the exam room prior to the scheduled appointment.
  • Remotely interview the veteran via an approved video or telephone conference platform.
  • Transcribe the medical history based on the veteran's answers to the questions in the DBQ.
  • Remotely assist the medical provider by documenting all physical examination findings in the appropriate section of the DBQs.
  • Complete all sections of the DBQ spreadsheets after each appointment.
  • Meet with medical providers to discuss each assigned case to determine the final diagnosis per DBQ and for approval of medical opinions.
  • Transfer data from the DBQ spreadsheet to the client portal.
  • Submit DBQs in the client portal.
  • Answer queries/addendum reports from the client's QAs.
  • Coordinate with medical providers and other team members regarding scheduled appointments per day.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing and active PHRN license.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively assist veterans, medical providers, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility in work schedule changes as needed.
  • Accountability for all assigned cases.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Assist the Lead and/or Trainer in process improvement.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

  • Fiber connection with at least 20 Mbps download and upload speeds.
  • Backup internet with minimum 15 Mbps download and upload speeds.
  • Intel i5–i7, 8 GB RAM; 4th generation or newer desktop/laptop.
