Job Overview

As a Business Intelligence Specialist, you will play a key role in generating insights from data to inform business decisions. This involves analyzing complex datasets and communicating your findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support internal analyses and generate actionable insights from large datasets.
  • Communicate complex ideas effectively through reports, dashboards, and presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support client meetings as a subject-matter expert, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and R.
  • Applied expertise in statistical modeling and experimental design, including sampling methods and confidence intervals.
  • Experience working with large datasets and the ability to scale analyses as data volume grows.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence/visualization tools such as Looker Studio, Sisense, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Experience in cloud data environments, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Comfortable supporting client meetings and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a quantitative role, with a proven track record of navigating ambiguous environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field, OR equivalent practical experience. An advanced degree is a plus, but not required.
  • Proficiency in SQL to query, manipulate, and manage data within relational databases.
  • A solid understanding of statistical concepts, including probability, regression analysis, and hypothesis testing.
  • Knowledge of different database systems, such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, and concepts like data warehousing and ETL processes for managing large datasets.
