Job Description

The AVP-Property Manager is responsible for leading and supervising the engineering team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.

Develop and implement engineering policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment.

Coordinate with property management, leasing, and administrative teams to ensure seamless operations and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Oversee the maintenance and operation of electrical, plumbing, and other building systems, ensuring safety protocols are implemented and enforced.

Prepare and manage project documentation, budget reports, and regular inspections to monitor progress and quality standards.

Utilize property management software to track work orders, preventive maintenance, and other tasks efficiently.

Ensure accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventories, and project documentation for future reference.

Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.

Conduct regular safety inspections and address any identified hazards or deficiencies to ensure a safe working environment.

Maintain strong relationships with property management, leasing, and administrative teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Strive for excellence in leadership, communication, and organizational skills to drive success in this role.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field) with a focus on MEP systems, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Professional Engineer license is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in property management or building engineering, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of property management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
