Microservices Engineer Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled microservices engineer to join our global team. As an experienced developer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing scalable microservices using Go and Python.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with expertise in API design, documentation, and governance. They should also have hands-on experience with database performance design considerations and skills in multi-region service delivery for resilience and performance.

The selected candidate will collaborate with a globally distributed team to deliver high-quality software that works at scale. Responsibilities include designing APIs and software architecture for collegial review, writing tests that validate software behaviour, building and maintaining reliable, fault-tolerant applications and services, debugging issues, and producing high-quality solutions to resolve them.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong academic track record from high school and university
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, or a compelling narrative about alternative path
  • Drive and a track record of exceeding expectations
  • Proficiency in Python and/or Go
  • History of writing modern, maintainable software
  • Experience with relational and non-relational database systems
  • Continuous integration and continuous delivery experience
  • Experience with systems programming or scalable web services
  • Professional written and spoken English
  • Experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred)
