Job Position

High-quality software engineers are responsible for developing and delivering complex applications. This role is focused on creating robust, scalable solutions using Ruby.

The primary focus will be on managing and maintaining large-scale microservices architecture, ensuring the quality and reliability of our system. You will also work closely with the team to improve test coverage, create internal tools and libraries, and contribute to systems architecture initiatives.

This position requires strong technical expertise and leadership skills. The selected candidate will lead technical initiatives, participate in scaling the engineering team, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality Ruby code for new carrier integrations
  • Manage and orchestrate a large number of microservices
  • Understand, plan, and execute maintenance of existing integrations
  • Lead and actively participate in efforts on systems architecture initiatives
  • Improve test coverage and quality of deliverables
  • Improve and create internal tools and libraries
  • Mentoring and guiding other team members
  • Actively participate in scaling the engineering team
Requirements

Extensive experience (5-7+ years) as a software engineer is required. Recent experience working with Ruby projects is necessary. Hands-on experience with planning and improving observability and monitoring processes is desired. Test-driven development and deep understanding of distributed systems principles are essential. Experience working with microservices and/or service-oriented architecture is also needed.
