Job Summary

The Medical Call Center Specialist plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient experiences by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and collecting payments.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Respond to patient calls with professionalism, ensuring timely resolutions to their concerns.
  • Process credit card payments over the phone to resolve outstanding balances.
  • Utilize knowledge of healthcare claims processing, including ICD-9/10, CPT, and HCPC codes, as well as 1500 forms.
  • Analyze and resolve issues on patient accounts while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA standards.
  • Maintain composure when handling challenging calls, providing courteous and empathetic service to patients.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Previous experience in hospital/facility or physician billing is preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English is mandatory for effective communication.
  • Proficiency in GE Centricity or EPIC PB systems is an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential.
