The Medical Affairs Director plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and leadership of the Medical Affairs function within an organization.

  • To be successful, you will develop and implement national Medical Affairs strategies that align with organizational goals and industry standards.
  • You will provide expert guidance to maximize the effectiveness of the Medical Affairs function, initiating and leading improvement projects focused on quality, cost-efficiency, and timeliness.
  • The ideal candidate will lead and support major projects and innovation initiatives, driving the adoption of best practices across the function.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of broader industry trends and regulatory developments is crucial. This expertise should be incorporated into local strategies and operations.
  • Managing large therapy area, brand medical, or compliance projects requires strict adherence to internal processes and external regulations.
  • Developing and coaching the management team, facilitating professional growth, and supporting succession planning for future leaders are also essential responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • A PhD in a scientific discipline or Medical Degree (MD)
  • Extensive experience in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong relationship and stakeholder management expertise
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams and developing talent
