Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To accurately process accounts, payroll (including Single Touch Payroll), superannuation, payroll tax, and regular reporting.
  • Ensure timely delivery of work within scope.
  • Adhere to client deadlines and communicate with Manager if issues arise.
  • Complete client processes accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain BAS Agent compliance obligations.
  • Provide feedback for Xero process improvements.
  • Identify opportunities for client business growth.
  • Set up Xero files per client requirements.
  • Maximize HubDoc and DEXT efficiency.
  • Use Karbon for all tasks.
  • Pursue professional development to stay industry-relevant.
  • Perform other project work as needed.

Requirements:

  1. Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Business Management or relevant experience.
  2. Experience in management reporting and analysis.
  3. At least three years Australian bookkeeping experience for small to medium businesses.
  4. Ability to manage multiple clients with shifting priorities.
  5. Xero and Xero payroll certification.
  6. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (intermediate to high level).
  8. Preferred: experience with Karbon.
  9. Fast learner and adaptable.
  10. High attention to detail.
  11. Strong client service focus.
  12. Ability to work independently and manage your schedule.
  13. Effective planning and prioritization skills.
  14. Positive attitude.
