Capital Solutions Specialist

This is a dynamic role that offers the opportunity to work with a variety of activities in support of Capital Solutions reinsurance operations. The ideal candidate will be able to interpret, analyze, and process information with a high degree of accuracy while consistently meeting service level requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the life cycle of 'Member Sourced' contracts to Revo by setting up contracts in the system to the 'bind ready' status, including admin details, layers on the UW sheet tab, authorized/signed lines, installments, and cessions.
  • Notify managers when submissions are ready for review/binding.
  • Monitor modeling activity, tasking to the modeling team, ensuring they have everything needed to perform their work, and following up post renewal on deals that have not been signed off on.
  • Perform additional ad hoc requests from managers as needed.

Monitoring Outstanding Premium:

  • Track material outstanding premium items that are 30+ days overdue using Capital Solutions reports and liaise with the finance team to chase the broker.
  • Maintain a list of deals being chased and provide a report to share with clients if their assistance is required.
  • Ensure all installments in Revo/Regis are set up and in line with contract terms.
  • Track outstanding contracts and update internal systems with updated information as needed.
  • Work with the finance team to answer queries and update Regis as needed (with manager oversight and input).

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one year's experience in the insurance/reinsurance industry, preferably with working knowledge in Property Insurance.
  • A strong team player with detailed and goal-oriented skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and work with tight deadlines during peak periods.
  • A fast learner with good energy and understanding for adapting to a constant changing environment.
  • A natural ability to use initiative and self-manage, with the ability to handle confidential information with absolute discretion.
  • Strong work ethics and the ability to take initiative and work independently within a team.
  • Very strong analytical, documentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications.

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Business, Statistics, or a related discipline is preferred.
