Infrastructure Operations Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Operations Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Azure, system administration, and automation. They will be responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting system health, performing routine maintenance, documenting activities, and managing incidents and changes.

The successful candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in system administration and hybrid cloud environments. They will have proven experience with Azure infrastructure management, Microsoft 365 administration, Active Directory, and business-critical software support. Strong PowerShell scripting skills and familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools are also required.

In addition to technical skills, the ideal candidate will have a detail-oriented and proactive mindset, problem-solving abilities under pressure, and excellent communication skills. They will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have experience working in compliance-heavy industries.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • System Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor system health, perform troubleshooting, and handle incidents as necessary.

  • Routine Maintenance: Perform regular health checks beyond automated monitoring, handle server, storage, and database backups, and ensure proper offsite storage and disaster recovery procedures are in place.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of all activities and generate periodic performance reports.

  • Incident & Change Management: Execute established procedures for event, incident, and change management.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5—7 years of total experience in system administration and hybrid cloud environments (mid to senior level).

  • Proven experience with:

    • Azure infrastructure management, including Virtual Machines, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), and network services.

    • Microsoft 365 administration, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and security policies.

    • Active Directory (on-prem & Azure Entra ID) with hands-on experience in identity lifecycle management, group policies, and SSO.

    • Strong background in business-critical software support (ideally financial/tax/accounting systems).

  • Can start ASAP or within 30 days.
