Revenue Collector

As a seasoned collector, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue and fostering positive relationships with our clients. Your primary objective will be to secure payments from business-to-business (B2B) customers through phone, email, or fax communications.

• Contact B2B customers via phone, email, or fax to discuss outstanding invoices and billing issues, with a heavy focus on phone contact.
• Manage a portfolio of 300-600 accounts across Canada and the US, with a suggested activity level of approximately 40 customer contacts per day.
• Negotiate payment terms with customers as needed, based on account status, to ensure maximum payment recovery.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with client accounts, championing our receivable policy.
• Work closely with internal sales reps to proactively resolve payment issues, such as invoicing, pricing, and product/service discrepancies.
• Document and track collections activity using monthly aging reports.
• Meet individual and departmental receivable targets.
• Reconcile accounts regularly.

Requirements:
A completed college diploma in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
Two to three years of experience in corporate B2B collections, focusing on medium to enterprise-level customers.
Proven expertise in Accounts Receivable escalation processes and resolving complex account issues.
Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience managing a portfolio of accounts.
Customer service oriented.
Background in the technology industry is an asset.
