AI Performance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled AI performance engineer to join our team. As an AI performance engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing agent evaluation pipelines for real-world enterprise use cases.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build domain-specific benchmarks for support, engineering ops, and other verticals. Your responsibilities will also include developing performance benchmarks for latency, safety, cost-efficiency, and user-perceived quality.

In addition, you will create search- and retrieval-oriented benchmarks, including multilingual query handling and context relevance. You will also partner with AI and infra teams to instrument models and agents with detailed telemetry.

Your expertise in systems, infra, or performance engineering roles will be invaluable in driving human-in-the-loop and programmatic testing methodologies for fuzzy metrics like helpfulness and intent alignment.

Key Qualifications
  • 3–7 years of experience in systems, infra, or performance engineering roles.
  • Fluency in Python and full-stack development.
  • Experience building or using LLMs, vector-based search, or agentic frameworks.
  • Familiarity with LLM model serving infrastructure and token streaming.
  • Experience working with model tuning workflows and prompt engineering.
  • Deep appreciation for measuring what matters – latency under load, degradation in retrieval precision, and regression in AI output quality.
  • Familiarity with evaluation techniques in NLP and human-centered AI.
  • Strong product and user intuition – caring about what the benchmark represents, not just what it measures.
