About This Role:

Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data pipelines, cloud-based architecture, and modern web services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and building cloud-based data pipelines and data warehousing solutions using GCP, Python, Fast API & Pydantic.

This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with complex data systems, identifying patterns, and developing innovative solutions.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define and implement structured practices, especially in source code management, building and deployment.

  1. Data Pipeline Design and Development: Design and build cloud-based data pipelines and data warehousing solutions using GCP, Python, Fast API & Pydantic.
  2. System Design and Maintenance: Support system design, development, and maintenance, taking responsibility for personal technical quality standards within the project team.
  3. Structured Practices: Assist with defining structured practices, especially in source code management, building, and deployment.
  4. Data Storage Solutions: Design and implement data storage solutions.
  5. Security and Data Protection: Implement security and data protection measures.
  6. Testing and Debugging: Execute meticulous automated tests in line with best practice and troubleshoot applications as needed.
  7. Optimization: Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • ELT/ETL Pipelines: Deep understanding of ELT/ETL pipelines and toolchains.
  • Relational and Document Data Stores: Deep understanding of relational and document data stores.
  • Modern Web Services: Deep understanding of how modern web services are built.
  • Analytical and Multitasking Skills: Excellent analytical and multitasking skills.
