About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Cloud Database Engineer who excels at designing, developing, and optimizing complex database systems for our fast-paced SaaS platform.

This role will play a key part in shaping our database infrastructure using AWS Aurora and supporting both PostgreSQL and MariaDB environments.

As a Cloud Database Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing scalable database architectures
  • Developing high-quality SQL scripts to support customer data requests and ad hoc reporting needs
  • Collaborating with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to scope and fulfill data-related needs
  • Participating in production troubleshooting and scheduled after-hours support rotations when needed

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and MariaDB in AWS RDS environments
  • Expertise in writing complex SQL queries and analyzing performance
  • Familiarity with Java-based ORMs and their impact on schema design
  • Experience supporting multi-tenant environments, ideally using schema-per-customer models
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Experience with scripting and automation (Bash, Python)
