Senior Cybersecurity Operations Specialist

Job Description:

The Senior Cybersecurity Operations Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and performing various duties related to security monitoring, incident handling, and threat response. This includes analyzing security logs, identifying actionable events, and responding to incidents across endpoint and server systems.

This role requires excellent analysis, prioritization, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to research and implement new security controls and processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information systems support, security engineering, or risk governance, with experience working with SIEM tools and operations, vulnerability scanning tools, and anti-virus solutions.

Additionally, this role requires strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership to identify and address security threats.

Requirements:
  • Familiarity with commonly used information security concepts, best practices, and standards
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with SIEM tools and operations (LogRhythm preferred)
  • Good analytic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Research skills for problems and finding information or documentation on related topics
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning tools
  • Experience with anti-virus and endpoint security solutions
  • Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or Systems Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
  • 4+ years in Information systems support, security engineering, or risk and governance
  • CISSP, CISA, and other certifications preferred
