Database Administrator Opportunity

We're seeking a skilled Database Administrator to manage and maintain our MySQL databases. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the performance and stability of our database operations.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing MySQL databases, with a strong focus on performance tuning, optimization, and maintenance. They will also be skilled in MS SQL Server administration, including regular maintenance, backup management, and performance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain MySQL databases, ensuring optimal performance and stability
  • Support MS SQL Server administration, including regular maintenance and backup management
  • Set up proactive monitoring and alerts to ensure database health
  • Troubleshoot and optimize slow-running or problematic database queries
  • Collaborate with technical colleagues to resolve database-related challenges efficiently
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 3+ years of hands-on MySQL administration experience
  • MS SQL Server administration background
  • Strong knowledge of storage engines (InnoDB vs MyISAM)
  • Proven expertise in query optimization and troubleshooting performance issues
  • Experience with deadlock resolution and transaction management
  • Familiarity with Zabbix monitoring or similar tools
  • Clear communication skills to explain technical issues to non-specialists
