About the Job

The Revenue Accounting team plays a pivotal role within the Finance department, ensuring accurate and compliant revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.

  • This role oversees the operational and technical aspects of revenue recognition, including reviewing customer contracts, performing revenue allocations, maintaining revenue schedules, and supporting monthly and quarterly closes.
  • Key stakeholders for this role include FP&A team, Commercial Finance, Sales Ops, Legal, AR, and External Auditors.

The ideal candidate will possess solid accounting experience, keen attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in monthly revenue accounting close activities by preparing journal entries and performing key account reconciliations, including those related to revenue, deferred revenue, and unbilled receivables.
  • Review standard and non-standard contracts to determine the appropriate revenue recognition under U.S. GAAP, ensuring ASC 606 compliance.
  • Manage and maintain NetSuite ARM to ensure accurate and compliant revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, including data validation, reconciliations, and data flows.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive automation efforts to streamline revenue accounting operations and improve monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.
  • Work with sales, customer success, revenue operations, and FP&A to obtain data and reporting for monthly revenue entries.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve internal process documentation for clarity and efficiency across teams.
  • Perform special technical projects, analysis, and ad hoc reporting.
