Job Overview

The Global Business Development Lead is a key leadership position responsible for driving growth through strategic guidance and talent development. The role requires providing expert support to the business development team, ensuring alignment with cross-functional teams and contributing to consistent goal attainment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a hybrid business development team to achieve quarterly and annual new business pipeline generation targets.
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand the business development team using established best practices.
  • Provide coaching and onboarding support to business development representatives to ensure goal achievement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technology stacks to effectively support the business development team in lead follow-up and proactive outreach.
  • Conduct weekly 1:1 review meetings and daily team huddles to share best practices and promote teamwork.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including marketing, regional sales directors, sales operations, recruitment, and HR.
  • Maintain alignment with field sales teams by attending weekly sales meetings.
  • Monitor team performance against key performance indicators and drive results-oriented initiatives.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Demonstrated understanding of the business development role and its strategic importance.
  • Expertise in coaching and leading business development teams to success.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple high-priority tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced organization.
  • Strong understanding of information security concepts and industry trends.
  • Able to develop and report regular metrics on key activities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years' experience running business development or inside sales teams.
  • 2+ years' experience as a business development representative in the software industry.
  • 2+ years' experience as an inside sales representative in software advantageous.
Team Player: Works well as a member of a group.Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all necessary details to get it done well.
