Contract Management Specialist

A highly skilled Legal Operations Professional is required to join our corporate legal team. This role involves working on contract management systems, including day-to-day operations and automation setup, to ensure efficient contract processing and workflow management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process internal contracts through approval workflows, verify forms are filled out correctly, route to appropriate approvers, and send to the correct parties for signature.
  • Review and redline contracts, draft 1-2 paragraph summaries highlighting key terms, risks, and relevant points for project managers.
  • Manage contracts within a contract management system, including creating templates, folders, directing files to appropriate locations, creating tags for efficient searching, and performing other typical day-to-day system operations.
  • Set up and maintain automated workflows in a contract management system or similar platforms, such as defining rules for document routing, with experience in comparable systems being highly beneficial.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Law degree with 3+ years experience working with US law firms, including hands-on review, redlining, and drafting of commercial contracts.
  • Fluent English with excellent written communication skills, including the ability to create concise 1-2 paragraph contract summaries.
  • Extensive experience operating within contract management systems, including creating templates, organizing folders and files, applying tags for searchability, and managing day-to-day tasks.
  • Proven experience setting up automations in contract management systems, with direct experience in ContractBook strongly preferred.
