Senior Backend Engineer Job Overview

We are building a cutting-edge platform of autonomous AI agents for data collection, labeling, and intelligent analysis. As a Senior Backend Developer, you will architect and implement core services that interface with AI workflows, manage data access from structured and unstructured sources, and support seamless orchestration between our AI layers and data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop high-performance backend APIs and services using cloud-native technologies.
  • Integrate structured and unstructured data access layers with AI frameworks.
  • Develop architectures for retrieval pipelines using vector databases to enable semantic search for AI agents.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to support workflow automation across a shared data lake.
  • Implement task routing, memory management, and agent orchestration logic.
  • Contribute to platform-level observability, metrics, logging, and diagnostics for AI tasks.
  • Deploy and manage servers to wrap scraping, proxy, and JS-rendering tooling as standardized services.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of backend development experience with strong programming skills in Python and Node.js.
  • Deep experience with serverless architectures, microservices, and cloud-based services.
  • Familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks and vector databases.
  • Working knowledge of database and API design principles, particularly with PostgreSQL.
  • Experience building scalable, low-latency backend systems for AI or data platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with agentic AI systems or orchestration of multi-agent workflows.
  • Understanding of workflow patterns in production environments.
  • Comfortable working with large-scale data integration strategies.
  • Exposure to cloud-native environments and large model orchestration.
