Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Mechanical Drafter with proficiency in SolidWorks to support our engineering and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks for parts, assemblies, and complete systems
  • Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and related data to develop accurate technical drawings
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability
  • Systematically maintain and update project files on the SolidWorks server
  • Apply appropriate GD&T standards and ensure compliance with drafting standards
  • Maintain organized drawing files and adhere to revision control procedures
  • Support the development and documentation of Bill of Materials (BOMs)
  • Prepare standard drawings, installation instructions, and assembly guides
  • Review and validate drawings for accuracy and completeness to reflect on client specifications
  • Assist in the preparation of technical documentation and assembly instructions
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in CAD, Drafting, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in roles requiring SolidWorks for 2D and 3D modeling
  • High proficiency in 2D and 3D solid modeling using SolidWorks, including assemblies, part modeling, and drawing generation
  • Excellent file management and project organization skills, with the ability to maintain clear and systematic documentation
  • Prior experience with scaffolding, guard railing systems, or similar mechanical structures is a plus
  • Familiarity with GD&T and industry standards such as ASME Y14.5
