Job Title

Automation Engineer position at a Manila-based company.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, execute and maintain automated testing frameworks for APIs and UI testing
  • Perform automated functional, integration, regression and performance testing across web applications and services
  • Write and execute test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with TestNG, REST-assured, JMeter, Karate and Playwright
  • Conduct exploratory manual testing using tools like Postman
  • Embed automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, leveraging GitHub Actions and Jenkins
  • Maintain and improve test infrastructure
  • Identify, log, track and ensure resolution of software bugs and issues
  • Regularly review, enhance and document automated test strategies and plans aligned with Agile methodologies
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficiency in test automation tools/frameworks: Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, REST-assured, Karate, Playwright
  • Expertise with performance testing using JMeter
  • Extensive experience in API testing, including REST API validation
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices using Jenkins and GitHub Actions
  • Familiarity with infrastructure management using AWS EC2 and Docker
  • Experience managing project builds and dependencies with Maven
  • Strong skills in source control management using Git
