Job Overview

The Server Infrastructure team is responsible for designing, planning, implementing, delivering and maintaining server infrastructure products and services.

They work closely with Global teams to drive excellence, standardization, scalability and customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage multi-vendor server infrastructure platforms ensuring a world-class infrastructure by performing routine OS upgrades, refreshes, bulk installations, configuration management, migrations and decommissioning to deliver stable and reliable services.
  • This role reports to the Server Infrastructure Management team and is primarily responsible for planning and executing Virtual Machine (VM) migrations.
Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Execute VM migrations across multiple environments with minimal downtime.
  • Administer and maintain Linux-based systems supporting production workloads.
  • Manage and operate hypervisor platforms for provisioning, migration and lifecycle management.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to support migration, monitoring and routine operations.
  • Implement and manage infrastructure automation using Puppet and Ansible for system configuration, deployment and scaling.
  • Create and review Migration Plans and Change Management Requests to ensure smooth execution.
  • Perform scheduled out-of-hours maintenance in alignment with change management processes.
  • Support the decommissioning of legacy systems including service removal, data sanitization and e-waste compliance.
  • Document and maintain accurate system process and migration records.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong hands-on experience with Linux administration.
  • Proven expertise with hypervisors: Proxmox VE and VMware vSphere/ESXi.
  • Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Perl; Python a plus).
  • Practical experience with infrastructure automation (Puppet, Ansible).
  • Track record of successful VM migrations in enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of change management practices (MOPs, CMRs).
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills in virtualized and Linux environments.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including out-of-hours maintenance windows.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
