Job Title: Cash Flow SpecialistAre you skilled in handling customer relationships and have experience with accounts receivable?

Cash flow management is a vital aspect of any business. As a Cash Flow Specialist, you will be responsible for securing revenue generated by the sales organization, building strong customer relationships, and fostering positive interactions to drive ongoing connections.

  • Make contact with customers via phone, email, or fax to discuss outstanding invoices and billing issues, focusing heavily on phone contact.
  • Manage a collections portfolio ranging from 300 to 600 accounts, concentrated on a Canadian and/or US territory of accounts.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customer accounts, championing our receivable policy.
  • Assess customer accounts and make decisions to release orders up to $50K for each request, while recommending actions for requests over $50K within the hierarchy.
  • Collaborate with internal sales reps to proactively troubleshoot payment issues, such as invoicing, pricing, and product/service issues.
  • Document and track collections activity using monthly aging reports.
  • Work towards individual and departmental monthly receivable targets.
  • Regularly reconcile accounts.

Requirements:
  • A completed college diploma, preferably in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
  • Two to three years of experience in corporate (B2B) collections, focusing on medium to enterprise-level customers.
  • Experience with Accounts Receivable escalation processes and taking initiative to resolve account issues, working with sales when necessary.
  • Good understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Similar experience managing a portfolio of accounts.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Experience in the technology industry is an asset.
