Software Quality Assurance Engineer

As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through thorough testing.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices. You will work closely with the engineering team to develop and execute automated test scripts, collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and identify test scenarios, design and implement test plans, test cases, and test suites to validate software functionality, and utilize defect tracking and management tools to report and track issues.

  • Maintain and update automated test scripts to adapt to changes in software features.
  • Analyze test results and provide feedback to stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Contribute to improving testing processes and implementing best practices.
  • Perform regression, smoke, and exploratory testing across different environments and browsers.
  • Support UAT and production release cycles, ensuring seamless deployment and minimal defects.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer or similar role, demonstrating proficiency in automation testing.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Experience in test plan development, test case creation, execution, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking and management tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • ISTQB or similar certification is a plus, showcasing a commitment to quality assurance standards.
  • Familiarity with automation scripting using Cypress and Selenium, with proven ability to develop and maintain automated test scripts.
  • Experience with API testing using tools like Karate is an advantage.
  • Proficient in using Cypress and WebdriverIO for front-end and end-to-end test automation.
  • Hands-on experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Java-based frameworks.
  • Experience working in Agile environments, actively participating in sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives.
  • Skilled in using GitLab and Jenkins for CI/CD integration.
  • Solid background in testing both web and mobile applications (Android and iOS).
