Develop Your Career as a Traffic Planner

This role involves developing, reviewing, and managing traffic management plans for large infrastructure and construction projects.

As a traffic planner, you will coordinate with project managers to align traffic planning with project timelines and deliverables. You will analyze and forecast traffic impacts for complex jobs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and local requirements.

You will monitor, adjust, and optimize traffic flow strategies throughout project execution. Additionally, you will prepare detailed reports and documentation for internal teams and stakeholders.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of rapid plan experience is required. Proven experience in traffic planning, preferably within infrastructure or large-scale construction projects, is highly desirable.
  • Strong background in handling multiple, complex jobs simultaneously is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
  • Ability to work directly with project managers and multidisciplinary teams is necessary.
  • Knowledge of local traffic regulations, safety standards, and planning methodologies is required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the AGTTM (Australian Government's Traffic and Transportation Management) is beneficial.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in major infrastructure projects is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are essential.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines is necessary.
  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PDF Editors, Outlook) are beneficial.
  • AutoCAD experience is beneficial but not necessary.
