The Role of a Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented senior accountant to join our team. As a senior accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing general ledgers, and performing bank reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and manage general ledgers to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Create financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements to provide stakeholders with valuable insights.
  • Develop and manage budgets, conduct financial forecasting, and provide advice on cost reduction to drive business growth.
  • Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring timely submissions and minimal risk.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting laws, regulations, and standards, providing expert advice to management and clients.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
  • Quickbooks certification is an asset.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a CPA in a corporate setting.
  • Corporate and personal tax experience is beneficial.
  • Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office and databases.
  • Familiarity with Quickbooks and financial statements.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Able to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
