Job Role: Medical File Reviewer

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Medical File Reviewer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in reviewing medical records, creating comprehensive summaries, and collaborating with medical professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare case files and Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) for assigned clients.
  • Review and annotate medical records to provide detailed responses to medical opinion questions based on the veteran's medical history.
  • Remotely assist medical providers during scheduled appointments by accessing, navigating, and preparing necessary apps, interviewing veterans, transcribing medical histories, documenting physical examination findings, and completing DBQ spreadsheets.
  • Meet with medical providers to discuss each assigned case to determine the final diagnosis per DBQ and approve medical opinions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), active PHRN license.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with veterans, medical providers, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility in work schedule changes as needed.
  • Accountability for all assigned cases.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Collaboration with the Lead and/or Trainer in process improvement initiatives.
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
