Healthcare Coding Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Medical Coding Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for translating medical records into universal codes used by healthcare systems and insurance companies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring accurate coding of healthcare services to support correct billing and provider payments
- Using knowledge of medical terms and guidelines to ensure precision and compliance in coding
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to identify appropriate assignment of CPT and ICD-9 codes for physician and facility services
The ideal candidate will have active AHIMA or AAPC Medical Coding Certification and experience in coding from paper charts as well as EMR. They will also possess a strong understanding of ICD-9 or ICD-10 coding in relation to HCC/Risk Adjustment Coding.
