System Operations Role

We are looking for a skilled system operations professional to manage and maintain our complex IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and optimize applications on Windows and Unix/Linux servers.
  • Create detailed documentation, diagrams, and procedures to support product development.
  • Ensure production applications run smoothly, addressing inefficiencies or service availability gaps.
  • Design and participate in disaster recovery testing.
  • Automate processes within the environment to achieve higher efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with business partners and development teams on project and task statuses.
  • Participate in annual system readiness, capacity planning, and provide recommendations to meet service level agreements.
  • Take part in an on-call rotation for off-hour support and coordinate weekend changes when necessary.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in SRE roles and/or functional leadership managing systems and applications on Windows and Unix.
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems and RHEL/Unix operating systems.
  • Understanding of tier 3 architecture design and concepts.
  • Experience automating processing using PowerShell and Python.
  • Familiarity with software such as IIS, Apache, WebSphere, Tomcat, and Microsoft clustering technologies.
  • Experience with change control and incident management processes.
  • Familiarity with Ansible, Chef, Jenkins, Terraform.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex problems and provide root cause analysis and remediation.
