Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Patient Services Representative. The successful candidate will be responsible for addressing patient inquiries and concerns, understanding patient needs by actively listening and interviewing, and coordinating information among patients, family members, medical personnel, and administrative staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to incoming calls according to established procedures and departmental standards.
  • Assist patients in resolving their queries and concerns.
  • Collect outstanding balances from patients.
  • Provide assistance to third-party entities, such as insurance companies, regarding patients' accounts.
  • Make outbound collection calls according to procedure and departmental standards.
  • Assist patients with billing-related inquiries and concerns.
  • Ensure HIPAA guidelines are adhered to by safeguarding protected health information within the scope of the position's duties and responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and supportiveness towards department and company goals and policies.
  • Maintain reliability and punctuality, with good attendance and timely return from breaks.
Qualifications And Requirements:
  • A degree from an accredited institution or at least two years of college education is preferred, with degrees and courses related to the medical field being beneficial.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • The ability to work effectively with minimal supervision is required.
  • Confidentiality is a must, and the ability to perform simple mathematical calculations is necessary.
  • Attention to detail is crucial, as well as proficiency in using email.
  • A high level of motivation, self-starting ability, and organizational skills are required, along with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Dependability, reliability, and team-oriented behavior are also essential.
  • Flexibility with scheduling is a must.
  • Previous experience in a call center environment, specifically with medical accounts and programs, is a plus.
