Merchandise Manager Job Description

Are you a career-driven professional seeking a challenging role in category management? Look no further We are currently seeking an experienced Merchandise Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and executing plans for strategic vendor sourcing and category management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Vendor Sourcing: Develop and execute plans for selecting and managing vendors to meet business objectives.
  • Category Management: Manage procurement strategies for assigned categories, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste.
  • Business Growth: Create category promotions and highlights to drive revenue and maintain category margins to support bottom-line profits.
  • Performance Management: Lead direct reports – category managers – in performance management, ensuring they meet their goals and objectives.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in Merchandising/Category Management in a related field is required.
  • Experience in managing people and teams.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office tools.
