We are seeking a skilled Medical Coder to join our team. As a Medical Coder, you will play a crucial role in translating doctor's notes and medical records into universal codes used by insurance companies and healthcare systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Translating doctor's notes and medical records into accurate and precise codes
  • Ensuring that healthcare services are coded accurately to ensure correct billing and payment
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of medical terms and guidelines to ensure compliance

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Active AHIMA or AAPC Medical Coding Certification (CPC-A, CPC, CIC, CCS, COC)
  • Experience in coding from paper charts as well as EMR
  • Understanding of ICD-9 or ICD-10 Coding in relation to HCC/Risk Adjustment Coding
