Accounting Specialist Position

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time role that involves overseeing financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

The ideal candidate will have proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and other accounting software, as well as knowledge of US GAAP. Experience in managing end-to-end accounting activities and financial reporting is essential.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of accounts payable activities and maintenance of the general ledger to ensure accurate and timely financial records.
  • Establishment and implementation of standardized financial workflows, processes, and internal controls to enhance accuracy and compliance.
  • Contribution to month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provision of detailed budget-to-actual analyses and collaboration with stakeholders to address discrepancies.
  • Performance of monthly reconciliations and in-depth reviews of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Preparation and maintenance of cash flow forecasts to support financial planning and decision-making.
  • Supervision of revenue and expense processes, ensuring the integrity of financial data.
  • Adherence to US GAAP standards in all accounting practices.
  • Assistance in meeting tax obligations by preparing records for quarterly and annual tax filings and coordinating with tax professionals.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and other accounting software.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP is essential; CPA certification is a plus.
  • Experience in managing end-to-end accounting activities and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote setup.
  • Experience in tax compliance and preparation is a strong advantage.
  • Fully fluent in English.
  • Ability to work U.S. business hours (Pacific Time, Central Time, or Eastern Time).
