Job Opportunity: We are seeking an accomplished Planning Drawings and Layout Specialist to collaborate with our team.

About the Role: As a key member of our design and planning team, you will be responsible for creating precise planning drawings, elevations, and layout plans using CAD and other design software. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to produce technically sound and visually clear plans that meet both aesthetic and regulatory standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create accurate and detailed planning drawings, elevations, and layout plans for construction-ready projects.
  • Interpret architectural sketches and design briefs to develop comprehensive plan sets.
  • Prioritize space efficiency while adhering to client specifications and building codes.
  • Maintain alignment with UK building regulations and planning guidelines throughout all drawing packages.
  • Collaborate with architects, planners, and contractors to revise and improve drawing packages.
  • Organize and maintain records of revisions and drawing sets for project tracking.
  • Meet deadlines and coordinate effectively with stakeholders working across different time zones.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in architectural planning, CAD drafting, or design layout development.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent drafting/design tools.
  • In-depth understanding of UK planning processes, zoning codes, and building regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and visual presentation of technical documents.
  • Able to manage multiple design projects and adapt to evolving client needs.
  • Effective communication skills for remote collaboration and providing updates.
  • A portfolio showcasing previous planning, elevation, and layout work is highly beneficial.
