Senior Backend Developer

We are seeking a skilled software engineer to strengthen and evolve our platform. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining backend applications in PHP within a LAMP environment.

About the Role:
  • Design and develop scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend applications using PHP, MySQL, and jQuery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring system uptime and reliability.
  • Partner with support and cloud operations teams to deliver enhancements and improve internal and external customer experiences.
  • Take ownership of defect and feature tickets, analyze root causes, and deliver code changes that resolve issues or add functionality.
  • Write, test, and deploy code changes across the PHP/jQuery/MySQL stack to improve system performance and customer outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the product team to reproduce, diagnose, and fix customer-reported issues.
  • Maintain and optimize MySQL schemas, queries, and APIs to support performance and scalability.
  • Contribute to frontend integrations using jQuery and Bootstrap.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share best practices through code reviews and technical guidance.
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure software quality.
  • Promote secure coding standards and operational excellence across the team.
