Job Overview

The Settlement Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless reconciliation and settlement processes. This encompasses documenting procedures, monitoring account balances, and executing tasks assigned by the Reconciliation and Settlements Head or Back Office Operations Lead.

This position demands exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively manage high transaction volumes within tight time constraints. The ideal candidate will possess a university degree in Accountancy, Banking & Finance, or a related field, along with at least 5 years of experience in a financial institution.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Reconciling Nostro account balances and monitoring wallet/settlement accounts
  • Making adjustments to merchant and payment partner settlements processes as needed
  • Preparing and submitting timely reports
  • Closing outstanding/open items within agreed-upon aging periods

We seek an individual with excellent leadership and people management skills, capable of working independently with minimal supervision and collaborating effectively with stakeholders. Strong risk management skills and attention to detail are essential.
