Accounting Specialist

The role of an accounting specialist involves recording, maintaining and analysing financial transactions. Responsibilities include preparing tax forms, generating financial reports and bringing the books to a trial balance ledger.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process
  • Verifying that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger
  • Performing partial checks of the posting process
  • Completing tax forms
  • Entering data, maintaining records and creating reports and financial statements

Strong analytical skills and excellent communication and organisational abilities are required for this role.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in finance, credit, banking or a similar field
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

A strong understanding of accounting software and systems is also desirable.
